Book Review: Vampire Academy Series

Vampire Academy Series - from the name itself, it's a SCHOOL FOR VAMPIRES, same idea with the HOUSE OF NIGHT SERIES yet different in every way.. 

this series is the BOMB..  it's full of action and excitement! what i love about this novel is that the heroine -- Rose Hathaway is NOT LAME and WEAK, she is a bad-ass chick with an interesting character..

i don't know why but i always end up liking the OTHER GUY in every book, like here in this series i really wish Rose to be with the super awesome ADRIAN IVASHKOV! man, the guy is burning HOOOT! but oh well, Dimitri is fine.. but not as FIIIIINE like the IVASHKOV guy!

Just finished "MATCHED" by Allie Condie last night.. twas a struggle to finish the book since the first few chapters is really slow but it gets better halfway of the book though and what irritates me is just when the story is getting interesting, it stops there! apparently, MATCHED is a trilogy and i have no freaking idea, if i knew i wouldn't ask for this book! i hate the way this book ended, it was like they cut it off just like that to make you buy the next book!

the sequel  "CROSSED" will be released November 1, 2011.. Ugh, i hate waiting! so.. im not sure yet if i want to get the second book, it's not something i'll dream about and be hopeful for the next book to come out.. so yeah maybe i'll just ditch CROSSED, i'll just leave cassia and ky's love story from there.. Annoying!!

Book Review: House of Night

Part I: April 14, 2011

Finally done with the first novel "MARKED", one word -- SMASHING!
twas a pretty good read.. it's a vampire story but a whole lot different from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, the setting and character is new and unique! it's like Twilight, Mean Girls and Harry Potter combined.. reading each chapter is a joy for me..

i love all the characters especially Erik - he is so damn hot! i would looove to suck and lick his blood if im a vamp or human - i dont care! i just wanna suck/lick him.. real baaaaaaad! lol

Part II: April 23, 2011 (Update)

Done with the 8th novel "AWAKENED", House of Night is the BEST! much better than twilight..

what i love about this series is that it doesn't center on love story alone, it discuss friendship, family and religion as well.. i fell in love with all the characters, and the death of some has shaken me to the core -- ugh this book made me cry a gazillion times!

i cant wait to get my hands on the last novel "DESTINED" - November pls come real soon!

Heath is coming back - from the dead, as a vessel to destroy the one person he loves! OMIGOSH! is his love for zoey enough to recognize her before it's too late? before he kills the main reason he came back?!

and what will happen to Stark? He's starting to be controlled by Kalona - unconsciously on that matter! so, its death for Stark or Kalona! but i dont want Stark to die, ill miss his hot body and his cocky-smile.. i really do hope that zoey can keep both guys.. once she did she'll be invincible.. having two strong guys beside her - Neferet will surely go crazy lol..

DRAGON'S OATH is coming this July, prequel for the series.. im not really interested with Dragon but for collection sake, i will definitely buy the book!

It's Complicated...

watched "It's Complicated" last night on HBO, 

it was a very nice movie! happy and sad at the same time.. 

Adam's Character: (Alec Baldwin)

after 10 years he realized that he's still in-love with his EX-wife.. now he knew what he's missing in his life and it sucks because he already had it once but let it go not knowing it's worth..

Jane's Character: (Meryl Streep)

After all the pain, confusion and hardship.. she finally got the closure she needs.. 10 years is long but it led her to the right man (Steve Martin) who will make her happy..

I was kinda sad (but not disappointed), because i was hoping that Jane and Adam will get back together but maybe that's how life is.. Adam Cheated, Jane got hurt.. end of the story! they got the chance of love but Adam blew it so its too late, Jane must move on and find happiness with someone else! but over-all it was a HAPPY ending.. 

Married Life is indeed complicated, sometimes you get used to being together that you take for granted the person you can't live without and realized it way too late.. sometimes you overlook the little things that will make you happy.. and sometimes you end up hurting the most important person in your life, your partner! it may be too late but most of the time it's not! so take your chances in love, if you've given your all then you will have NO REGRETS! being married is not like a fairy tale where it's all happy, sweet and perfect.. being in a relationship needs understanding, patience, time and compromise.. No one is perfect when it comes to the LOVE department, but knowing how to accept mistakes and make up for it and learning how to forgive will do the trick!

for fun and games: Angry Birds

Its a  funny little puzzler about flightless birds that attack egg-stealing pigs via slingshot. The pigs hide in wooden, metal, and glass houses. Angry Birds is incredibly addicting and the green pigs are really annoying!

i got more apps like dictionary, docs to go, ebook reader, facebook, skype, twitter and more.. there are a lot of apps you can choose from in the Apple Store..

Apple is my new bestfriend, you can customize it with your personality, load it with apps base on your needs and likes.. it is definitely a tremendous value.

Boooo... NOT!

watched "Paranormal Activity 2" last night, it was a waste of time.. twas' boring and senseless! the scary scene was so dark you can barely see what's happening.. the first movie, i must agree twas' damn scary and that it gave me sleepless night, but this? THIS IS CRAP..

Drama Update

i just recently finished the k-drama "My fair Lady" the story line for me was great, what i hate about it is the lead actor, his acting was good and the character of the story suits him well.. it's just that he's not the "hunk-lead actor-type" i was looking for.. maybe i got used to seeing lee min ho and geun seok that's why im a bit dissapointed with him.. overall i rate the story 8/10! Kang hae na (Yoon Eun Hye) is so pretty!!!

been bored to death for the past few days, so i googled for a new 'past time drama' to watch, it's been a form of relaxation for me.. good thing i found one and now im hooked again..it's called "Fated to Love you" im still on ep5, but it made me cry a gazillion times already.. i still have 18 episodes to go! looking forward to finish it this weekend but i don't know if that's possible, it's been raining for days now and my DSL connection is always acting up.. damn, GLOBE sucks bigtime!!!

My Love For Asian Drama

I got no sleep this past few days and NO it's not because of school.. Lately, I’ve been addicted to K-dramas that I no longer want to sleep until im really passed out!

I started my first Asian-Novela with “Meteor Garden” which is a taiwanese drama, that time im already contented just watching on TV, Since then I started liking Asian Drama since it’s different from the typical “Pinoy-Style”..

‘Dao ming si’ (idk if I got the spelling correct, but whatever!) He’s the first character I fell in love with.. the bad boy type who loves deeply.. awww! and of course the rest of the F4..

After Meteor Garden many Asian Dramas followed, but they are all just MEH.. they’re OK but not as great as Meteor Garden..

so when ABS-CBN launched the Korean version of the famous F4 that made me CRAZZZY! i watched the first episode on ABS, but i want more so i asked my hubby to buy me a DVD asap!!! so he did, and i watched all episode in two days, i think..

"Gu Jun Pyo" or the 'Dao ming si-korean-version' is super LOOOOVE!!! he stole my heart.. LOL! F4 korean Version is 9/10.. 9 because i hate the ending.. i feel like something is missing.. i want more cheesy moments between jan di and gu jun pyo.. or they should at least show how jan di got accepted by his evil mom..

After that i found out that the original version of F4 is made by japan, many forums said that japanese is the best version, so i tried it as well.. BUT for me twas' plain.. nothing great compared to the K-Version..

Gu Jun Pyo or Lee min ho in real life is still my NO. 1!!! a few days ago, i saw on ABS that Lee min ho have an upcoming K-drama, it's called "Personal Taste".. it'll be up on ABS soon.. but since i am addicted to him i searched for online streaming, i finished the drama in 4 days since our stupid DSL connection is acting up, but oh well it's all worth it! i give Personal Taste a 9/10.. twas' light and sweet, it has it's funny and sad moments as well! this is the first k-drama that has a happy ending..

then now here come this new k-drama aired on ABS @ 5:30 (M to F) "He's Beautiful" or you're beautiful in korea.. i just finished watching it yesterday @ 4am.. when i first saw the trailer i thought twas silly as "hana kimi".. but after watching the 1st epidode on ABS i realized that i am sooo wrong.. so again, i immediately searched for OL streaming.. twas super cool.. no dull moments, it made me cry, it made me laugh.. sometimes i feel stupid because im hysterically laughing @ 4am, alone! it was 10/10 though i hate how it ends.. the ending is super sweet but again something is missing.. korea always do that! the overall story was superb but they always leave something for imagination at the end.. gosh I hate that!!!

Anyways “Tae kyung” or Jang Geun-seok in real life, the leading man in you're beautiful was awesome so as the rest of the A.N.JELL band!!! ♥
